Our Story
The Purple Circle was founded by Ryan Ingram, an eighteen-year old recent graduate of Concord High School. Ryan was recently reborn into God's arms and has been guided by the Lord ever since.
Cancer has surrounded him his entire life
--his mother, Lydia Ingram, was diagnosed with stage four (terminal) Leiomyosarcoma when Ryan was two years old. Considering this particular cancer has a one percent survival rate, the doctors told Lydia she would not live to see her two children graduate from elementary school. Walking strong in her faith and being determined to survive for her family, she refused to accept this death sentence and began her ongoing battle with cancer. The cancer in her liver regenerated in 2007, and she also battles with sporadic skin cancer and other malignant tumors.
As a young child, Ryan witnessed countless doctor visits and the financial strain that afflicted his family due to medical expenses. He became accustomed to hearing the worst. However, during his teenage years, he watched as the news slowly turned around and the Ingram family was blessed with many miracles from God. Lydia has beat the odds and seen both of her children graduate from high school. Therefore, It comes to no surprise that the Lord has guided Ryan to help others whose lives are also impacted by cancer.
